Hello Waftycranker and welcome from Virginia. "08 and newer have few if any real issues to be concerned with as far as I know. Try to find one with ABS if you can and enjoy the ride.

Thank you everyone. FOr all of you guessing yes it was Crafty Wanker. Originally used it as a team name when i lived in the UK lol
They seem hard to come by, i have been looking for a while now. I rode a friends last year back in the UK and i was bitten by the bug. And the torque of course. Hopefully i will find one soon.

If you're looking for a used R3, best to stick with post 08' models, as Boog posted earlier or be sure to ascertain if any older bikes you might look at and are considering have had the "update" or "upgrade" kit installed!

I use the heck outta my Google search!
I do like the term and shall attempt to add it to my vocab.
Also found "pull the pudding" and "bashing the bishop".
 
Well the search is over and im now the proud owner of a 2011 Rocket 3. So so Happy with it
