Born and bred in California transplanted to Georgia about four years ago. Been riding since 1968, first Harley in 2004 and first Triumph last month. Black Roadster which I am extremely impressed with...loving it! Adding a few goodies here and there and giving some thought to adding the Triumph Accessory Silencers and a map. Unfortunately, can't find a good place to hear them first.

I've already gotten lots of great tech information and insight from this site.

Welcome from Germany (by way of Mississippi)!
What part of Georgia?
Google triumph Rocket TORS on Youtube. Not as good as hearing them up close, I guess, but there's a few on there. Or, go to MV!!

MV is sounding better all the time. As a Triumph rookie....are the TORS the three pipe set-up?

You just missed a sharp R3R in North Georgia last weekend. Mully was rippin around up there . He has his lookin like Darth Vaders bike

TOR stands for Triumph Off Road. They don't have the catalyst inside and allow for more airflow.

In the case of the Roadster, you would still have just a 2 pipe setup.

On the older models (Standard, Classic), they were the 3 pipe system.

Welcome aboard.

HI
WELCOME TO SITE. I HAVE THE TRIUMPH OFF ROAD PIPES AND THE TUBES INSTEAD OF CAT CONVERTER. THEY SOUND GREAT . THEY TEND TO GET SOME LOUDER AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS OF DRIVING. WHEN YOU ARE SLOWING DOWN AROUND 1500 RPM IT BACKFIRES A LITTLE BIT YOU CAN PULL THE CLUTCH IN IF YOU SEE POLICE. THEY LOOK AT YOU KIND OF STRANGE IF YOU GO BY WITH THE THING BANGING. sorry for caps. i always wear a full helmet so the noise doesn't bother me. i have the three pipe system,i don't know for sure but i have heard that you must use must get rid of the cat if you use off road pipes. someone here might know for sure.

Welcome from Colorado. Got the TORS about a week or so ago. I like em. That said they are not what I would say as being loud. I would describe them as being a deeper more throaty sound, but a definate improvement. I initially had Jardines ordered but got tired of waiting for them to come in. In my book though I'll take more powerful and not so loud to weak and loud anyday...

You may want to check into a new 2013 tune if yours was not a new 2013 which just came out this month.

Thanks for the great information. Do you guys have a preference/ recommendation on where to purchase the TORS? Is TORS a different name for the "Accessory Silencers" on the Triumph website?
