Hello from the sea!

I too had a sports bike background and bought a new Roadster 2 years ago. Love it. The torque is immense. Also does everything easily, cruising, blasting etc and handles well.

Have a road test and take your cheque book as you'll need it on the spot when you return.

Ahoy Big Carl from a retired sailor and welcome from Virginia. You will find that learning to blast the corners on a Rocket is great fun and it will amaze the Nay-Sayers on sport bikes who think you won't keep up with them.
This is my 28th machine and I have run the gambit on bike styles over the years. My Rocket is now designated as my forever bike. I may buy more, but don't see myself getting rid of this one.

Carl, I wasn't implying that you need or want more power, simply saying that there is a lot of potential in the Rocket to more than deal with the Sport bikes.
My relatively stock bike (pipes, filters and tune) wakes a few Riders up :D
