Hello from St. Louis, MO

Hi folks. I've been lurking here for quite a while learning as much as I could about the goods and bads of the Rocket III. I've lusted for the Touring model for years now and Saturday morning, I'm headed for Georgia to pick up an 08 blk/wht R3T!!!

I just sold my beloved Speedmaster that I customed out quite a bit. I'll share some pics of her later but I am very excited to the point of bursting to get on such a beast as the Rocket.

This seems like a pretty tight knit group(must be a triumph thing) and I hope to make some new friends and meet some of you all some day. I'll post some pics of my speedy AND of course the Rocket when I get her home and settled.

Well I got the bike home tonight around 6:30 but a bit of bad news. So my wife and I headed out this morning about 6:15 and all went well until Kentucky. Unfortunately I got myself a ticket on the way down to pick up the bike. Bummer.

What was cool is that I was suppossed to head to Georgia to get the bike but the guy met me in Tennessee so that was cool. The bike is just outstanding. I can't believe the torque at such low RPMs. Anyway, my son is dying to watch train videos with me but I thought I'd report in with how the trip for the bike went.

Thanks all for the warm welcome so far. Like I said, I've been lurking here for a while and I feel like I know a lot of you. I look forward to learning as much as I can from you all and look forward to meeting some of you.
