Welcome from Minden Nevada . It looks like you have a good start on the modifications you want to do. The stock Metzlers are cheap and usually only last 4000 miles if you are lucky. A lot of folks here like the Avon Cobras but several more will put a Bridgestone Excedra max on the rear for more longevity.

That surprises me. I’ve used those on my Nomad & did not get more than about 8,000 miles on them. On the Nomad I had very good service with Michelin Commander II’s. I would easily get 22,000-25,000 miles on the front and back. They were bias ply though. I will be interested in seeing if I can tell a difference in the radials.
Welcome from Montreal, the land of Nanuq the eskimo. Still got snow!!!!!
For tires I use Exedra Max for tires, I've got 10,000k and I believe I will be able to get another 5 or 6000 Km out of them.

I'm just telling you what some folks use. I plan on putting an excedra max on when the time comes again. From what others have done here most get 10,000 miles out of an Excedra Max and half that with any other tire.
