- 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 GT, 2018 Honda Goldwing DCT
Hello. I'm Kenny from the Denver area. Been riding over 30 years. My first vehicle I bought when I was 17 was a Suzuki GS750. Since I've had a Kawasaki Vulcan 750, Kawasaki Vulcan Meanstreak 1600, 2014 Rocket 3 Roadster, 2018 Honda Goldwing DCT, and we just got a new 2020 Rocket 3 GT. Of course two days after I got it home it's been snowing on and off since so it's just sitting in the garage...
When my wife and I both drive she rides the Goldwing because she can just leave it in automatic. Also the 2014 Roadster was too big and heavy for her. We also do two up rides especially on longer trips. We like to do mountain rides and day trips and when we camp we'll take a bike in the camper to wherever we are going and do rides there. I started to keep a log of all the mountain passes we've ridden over but at some point I lost track. There are just so many here.
I am having a little buyers remorse about the new GT but I think that will subside once I can actually ride it. From the 50 miles I have on it so far it's definitely much smoother and nimble vs the Roadster. The 150 lb or so weight loss really helps. They've compacted it just a bit so it fits me better as well. Key for a short person. It's really nice to have the little luxuries too like cruise, heated grips, TFT screen with all the info you could ever need. I haven't had a chance to put the traction control and cornering ABS to test yet but once we get a break and some melting I will.
Guess that's plenty. Nice to meet everyone.
