Yup.... could have said that better myselfCath , I always ride at my own pace. I don't care who i'm riding with i won't be pushed faster than i want to ride . If i want to ride slower than others , i'll see them where we are going to. If they are riding slower than i want to ride , again i'll see them where we are going.... Some days you just get a gut feeling to 'not push it today' ... you ignore it at your own peril i reckon.
