Greetings from Northern Illinois

Hello all, I must confess I purchased my ROcket Roadster a few weeks ago and since the day I went to the dealer I have been reading everything I can from the members of this forum! Very informative.

I have been riding since I was 16, I have had Ducati, BMW, Honda, and I usually lean to the side of Kawasaki, That being said I just traded my ZX14R for the Rocket. I was looking for something more comfortable for longer straights as Northern Il. is full of straights. Even as I was riding the ZX14R to the dealer to make the trade I was wondering if I was making the right choice. That bike never failed to make me smile!

Happily, the Rocket has not let me down! It accelerates harder, puts a giant grin on my face and can still do some damage in the twisty bits. I cannot wait to see what adventures this odd British contraption and I will have. Below is the requisite photo of the monster, in the background you can see the previous steed. I really stepped out of my comfort zone with the color combo!

Don't I know it. I purchased my Ninja while on assignment in St. Louis for 3 years lots of twisties just outside the city if you know where you are going. I am getting the feel for the Rocket in the corners still where I can. I try to take a trip each year to the south and ride for a week on those glorious roads, I am sure the Rocket will entertain in the twisties as well, just a different feel!
