G'DAY Everyone,
Rocket NEWBE here, a month or so ago I came across a 2007 classic that I couldn't walk away from. Looking pretty beaten up with poor cosmetic work but mechanically sound with low km's, 26000 kms on the clock (16000 miles). Haven't had a drama with it until I went away for a week camping and came back to a flat battery. Jump started it, no problem, but it's now running very poorly.

Idles fine but very lean and almost missing under normal riding. It's had the air box removed and 3 k&n's fitted with no power module and looking thru the manual I found an SD card with TUNECU details on it (no custom maps saved tho), so I'm assuming it's been maped that way.

Is there a chance that the mapping was wiped from the ECU after the jump start?

I've done the 12 minute cold tune thingy to no change. And also, it had only done 70kms over the last 4 years and I've put 500 kms on it, it kind of feels like poor spark under revs, but it can't just be a coincidence with the flat battery..?!?!

I've got tuneecu put can't connect it to the bike till I get an adapter in the next day or so..

Hopefully the brainstrust here might have more of a clue than I, THANKS GUYS!

Understood, cheers mate.

I searched extensively and found nought that relates to the flat battery and Ecu issue, is all.

Fuel and oil etc was all changed so not a factor.

Greetings from sunny North Texas. I would suspect it's not in the ECU via battery. If the battery still works (or was replaced) that won't affect your fueling. What can affect it is dirty injectors, bad gas, inadequate fuel pressure from the pump, and the list goes on and it's input to the ECU. I had a case of bad gas in my 05 Rocket that the ECU adaptation 'adapted to' and the bike wouldn't even start. After flushing of the entire fuel system and an ECU reflash with a stock tune the bike ran fine.
