Hello folks,
Bill from east central NC here. Been getting all hot and bothered about a Rocket for several years(wife says more like obsessed). Finally managed to grouch, whine, drool, research and snivel enough that the wife finally said: " IF IT WILL JUST MAKE YOU SHUT THE F&&K UP AND BE HAPPY GO AND TRADE THE F&&ING HARLEY!!!!!!!!!!"
Don't ya love it when a plan comes together?
I have owned a lot of bikes over the years and put a ton of miles on the ground. Brand J off all descriptions, Harleys, BMWs, Guzzi, and one Ducati. Liked them all, loved a lot of them.
After putting a few thousand miles on the Rocket I am convinced that it is, hands down, the finest piece of machinery that has ever had two wheels hung on it.
It is so much fun to ride, it is like the feeling ya had when you were a kid and got your very first motorcycle.
Probably won't see me post much, been a lurker since way back in the Usenet days of rec.motorcycles but there is a lot of good info here that I appreciate and make use of.
Keep them between the ditches,
Bill
