So a few beers and some needed sleep I realize it's the gear change pedal linkage nut that is missing. I also need a new bushing for it.

Does anyone know what size the nut is and can I use a regular rubber bushing or do i have to use a foam/rubber one like what came with the bike.

Thanks

That ****ed nut has fallen off from several bikes, mine included.

Can't go and measure as I changed to a rearset set up years ago, but somewhere in the back of my mind I'm thinking 10mm?

I do remember replacing it with a longer bolt and 2 nuts - one to lock the other, and a small tub full of spare nuts & bolts to keep under the saddle to save me from getting stranded again over something so insignificant.

Up-Date

Just wanted to thank you'll for the assistance. The dealership proved to be seriously tits-on once I figured what I needed (they even emailed me a gear change pedal diagram) and since I hadn't been to this one (my old one closed shop) I decided to go there and see the place on my way to a hardware store.

The parts girl is a serious Triumph freak (good girl ) and since Triumph doesn't sell the bushing; she hooked me up with one from BMW that fit (I got a couple of spares since the bushing on the transmission end of the linkage is going bad and will have to be replaced). She also gave me a great deal on some nuts.

I got it all together (and it works tooo!!) and decided to remove king/queen seat and sissy bar since I was working on the beast, and brought her back to a solo seat with bags.

I'm thinking that since its still in "being worked on mode", tomorrow I might as well as install the lower front end fairing (it covers the oil filter) I picked up a couple of yrs ago along with everything else I've been getting for the beast and never put on over the years (including the bushing on the transmission end of the linkage).

Anyhow's I really appreciate the assistance on everything :Tip-Hat:

Thank yu'al very much!
