Can the fuel rail and injectors be removed from the throttle body's are still in place.

I have all the fasteners removed and it looks as if they would pull right out. Don't want to jerk on it and break stuff. Or can the clips be removed and the fuel rail separated from the fuel injectors

The injectors fit into the throttle bodies with O-rings and are a firm fit, need a bit of a tug.

They are clipped onto the fuel rail and held in place by the rail and its brackets.

Normally (?) one would remove the rail and the clips, then wriggle the squirters free.

Thanks for the advice. The removal, cleaning and reinstallation went very smoothly. While I was there I cleaned and checked the connections and vacuum lines. Seems that the rear carbs vacuum line goes to a blinding cap and the throttle body ports are capped. I'm guessing that has something to do with the California Smog Crap. Am I correct?

Tomorrow is ECM tune time. I believe I have the program and drivers loaded correctly thanks to the youth of America. The adventure progresses and the conversion continues

Might be time for you to consult the workshop manual... see copy in IDK's signature.

Dunno about California smog crap, but usually there are three vacuum lines, one from each throttle body, which go to a 4-way joiner under the tank. From there, a fourth line to the MAP sensor.

As well as that, there are also capped ports on the TBs.

Is your engine standard or has someone been playing with it?????

The engine is unknown. The previous owner inherited the bike and no's nothing but I haven't seen any signs of custom stuff. All the hoses are factory form fitted. And tie into the factory clip with the radiator over flow hose. Unfortunately I don't see California Smog Crap in the big blue book
