This has nothing to do with a Rocket. I need some help with my Frigidaire upright freezer it stopped working. No fan nothing running. Had a thunder storm and lost power a couple of times so maybe that did something to it. Thought someone here might know something about them. Model # MFU20F3GW8

generally an upright freezer has no fan - the coolant circulates just inside the skin of the thing to shed heat... very possible that the pump just puked if turned on and off a couple times in rapid succession, they should have logic to wait 5 minutes before turning back on when power is applied, but most don't... just unplug it, let it sit for an hour, and then try plugging it in again... hopefully the coolant and oil will settle down and the pump can spin up...

Has a fan in the back under the cover by the coils. I have unplugged it and will plug it back in later. Thanks

hmmm... if has cooling fan and cooling fan isn't turning on, and you don't hear the compressor running, then it would seem that power isn't getting to the thing... wouldn't expect a plain old fan to get sick from on/off... is it plugged into a gfci outlet that maybe tripped? did the breaker (or fuse) pop? try (unplug thing first) spinning fan with finger to be sure it isn't frozen up...

Changed power outlets last night nothing happened . Can spin fan by hand so not frozen up. When I get back home I will plug back in.

Is there a reset button on the back of the fridge? If there is, then press it.

They usually have a time delay fuse somewhere on a little circuit board somewhere that needs replacing if the fan/condenser is not kicking in.
