This morning on the way to work i noticed I had no headlights. Upon inspection I found that the pigtail that plugs into my right headlight was melted. One of the wires was corroded at the pigtail and crusted in green. Is it safe to assume that the connector failed and melted due to corrosion so I merely need to replace the pigtail and get on my merry way or are there other things I should consider? The system is unmodified in any way at this point. Shouldn't the fuse have blown before frying the pigtail? I haven't been able to check the fuse yet as I don't have an allen wrench available right now but I am assuming it is ok as it is also the fuse for the starter solenoid and the bike will start. Thanks for any advise you can give me!
