The footboards on my classic have feelers in different positions - on the right board the feeler is on the rear and on the left board the feeler is at the front. For those that have boards is this normal? I'm guessing they're interchangeable and there's been a little stuff up. Problem is the right side is grinding the feeler down nicely but the left side is grinding down the aluminum at the rear of the board before the feeler touches. My bike is way to pretty too start grinding the actual board away so I will tap the board and fit a feeler to the rear of the left board.
Anyone know where to get titanium feelers in Aus?

Sounds to me like you have two right boards . I just spent a couple weeks in the mountains grinding the flat spots on the ones I just installed. I used standard peg feelers same thread but a little longer and larger.

Some quality work work out of Hinkley again then I suppose. Hope the footboard guy isn't also the transmission guy...
I should've pulled the feelers out and had a look I just ordered some different feelers at 1.0 thread, that's just lazy. Thanks for the thread size and the tip on peg feelers, I'll see what I can find.

How long have you had the bike and are you the original owner. If not someone might have changed it because of damage. Of course it could also be a polock :) I want to get a set of touring boards something tells me they will fit the classic rails.

I've had it for 2 years and am the second owner. Out of all the bikes I've bought this has been my best buy (and bike) yet. It's a 2006 and popped up on Gumtree as showroom condition 14000km. After a quick phone call that night I drove 1100km overnight (dropping into borrow a mates trailer along the way) to pick it up.
Most fun bike I've ever had! I am going to keep it in mint condition, if you find that touring boards fit I'd like to know and I'll grab a set as spares.

just check mine and both scrapers is at the rear.mine looked like it had been dragged down the road..:(:(

Nice to bad they don't state the thread size. Or I missed it. Ours are 8 mm x 1.25 mm pitch.

I just checked mine Warp, mine are 1.0 pitch. Lucky guess on my part I just guessed a short thread into aluminium would be small pitch.

I think that means you're doing it right :)

Yes you are correct I must not have held my face straight when looking at the tap. I'll go correct my error.
