Yesterday..the United servo just before you go over the bridge into Warwick. Bridge is still closed. Me, Fran and my dad were stranded between Warwick and Maryvale Sunda arv to yesterday about 1pm due to Cunningham Hwy being closed at the Marvale turnoff and the 8 mile intersection (Toowoomba turnoff)

the main bridge into Warwick is due to open later today hopefully. I believe they are just waiting for the engineers report. Cunninghams gap has been closed since late Saturday. There is a metre of rocks and mud over both lanes on the western side and a couple of trees down. If it's only debris it should be open by Thursday, if structural it will be at least a week.
My wife works in Ipswich so when the New England highway opens hopefully tonight she will have to go via Toowoomba!

Just touched Base with Big Marty, he asures me that they are safe in Hervey Bay they 125kph winds and excess of 500mm rain but they are good :)

Was at Allora on Saturday when the rain started got my truck towed out of showground with my farthers dozer then loaded it on the tray and got outa there. Everyone was getting their caravans and motorhomes dragged out with tractors, my farther flat tows a Suzuki 4x4 behind his motor home on an A frame so we hooked it up. I got in the 4x4 and pushed him out to all the onlookers amazement. Good old fashioned ingenuity stunns some people. When we came through Warwick the creek was just getting into the park on the town side of the bridge. We fuelled up at the Shell and headed back to Woodenbong in heavy rain all the way.
