Flood's

I lost track of exactly how much rain we've had here and atCunninghams Gap ( I'm only 8 k's from there).
As of yesterday morning we had 29 inches since last Friday and my mate up at the gap opposite the servo had over 38 inches.
We have 2 houses on our place and 2 of my daughters live in the other house. The wind was so strong it 'flexed' the chimney and broke the flashing around it and the water got into the lounge down the flu.
Unfortunately they were away Friday and Saturday so when they got home Sunday lunchtime their place was an indoor swimming pool.
But ours is easy to clean up at least its only water...not mud and effluent like the other poor buggers and at least it's all still intact !!!!!

By the look of the radar you might be in for some of the same.

Oi I did mention that we didnt have to send up the Little Ducky Water Wings
and I think you would contributed to the flooding with tears and you would have started screaming that we would have heard down here
 
No power

We lost power at home for 24 hours or so - that was ok, but the office still has no power since Saturday night or Sunday morning....... We have been using a generator for computers and fridge but no air conditioning at 36 deg C with high humidity, my clothes wet with sweat all day. But I am still one of the lucky ones.
 
Warwick bridge opened about 12.30 so went to town to buy more wine..couldn't go to work due to floods..fallen tree cut up and turned into logs for the fire..so sitting here at home this afternoon enjoying a glass of wine..sun shining..flood water receeded to a point where only cleanup required..Cunninghams gap still closed for possibly up to a week..highway nice and dry with some potholes that are very visible..from my place to the Toowoomba turnoff about 20 k's with only 3 roads leading onto the highway that would possibly have a couple of local vehicles to interupt the peace and quiet..Rocket in the shed that hasn't been started for over 2 weeks...........and I said to the wife 'I'm bored' !!!!!! There's an epiphany there somewhere.
