Just installed the excedra max rear tire yesterday and rode about 65 miles through straights and twisties and I got a little better handling through the curves and twisties and I think it’s because of less of broad contact on the asphalt but having the same width of tire. I don’t mind the extra 3/8” circumference or 3/4” taller tire and I don’t think it’s too much of a difference on the odometer to be a problem

we should beat him with an organic carrot lol
no
we forgive you.

Your speedometer will also read correctly now. I think everyone who has switched to the 240/55 R16 has stated their handling has improved.

The 240-55 rear tyre is 12mm (½") taller than the 240-50 stock tyre, this reduces the rake marginally hence your sharper handling.
If you were to drop to a 140-75 from the stock 150-80 front tyre (a 12mm drop), combined with the 240-55 rear, this reduces the rake by 1°, which is significant.
This really sharpens up the handling.
Guys on sport bikes wonder why I can keep up with them in the twisty stuff.
