Well as most of you guys know I droped my bike forgetting to put kick stand on a broak the end of my spoiler because my leg got cought under it thank god for the engine bar or could of really hurt my self stupid.
any how I decided while fixing it I would inprove it even more I shaped it even more to make it more sleeker and instead of wood scews I put zinks threads in so the front is bolted on instead of scewes

Based on prices I have got of there to do my stuff out of steet I got prices to do my spoiler $5,000 and thats with out paint and thats a estamate, and my bottom peice they wanted $3.000 with out paint could be more they say .
So I went out and bought a english wheel and I and going to try to do my stuff out of metal going to start with my bottom piece first since I think that would be so much more easy wish me luck you guys I'm going to need it

Thats amazing! I built cabinets for 10 years and have worked with lathes and such and build furniture as well. I'm afraid that if I tried something like that it would look like a box. Maybe I could build a medicine cabinet to put down there for my Advil. I just turned 49 so I gotta start thinking about things like that Good job.

Skip, thanks I hope I can do it after spending the money on a english wheel and happers and stuff I got cold feet if it wasn't for my wife I think I would of put everything back I think I can pull the bottom peice off but to pull off my spoiler out of metal dam thats going to be tuff.
I'm not sure why I'm going through all this extra work and expence when everything is on my bike no one knows that its wood untill I tell them and they still don't beleave me so we will see what I come up with just look the bottom off and debaiting if I'm going to start it tonight wifes calling me a chicken.

Jrhorton, yes that is funny I can't wire my GPS but I can other stuff, we all have are good points and we all have are bad points

Snuuffcityrider, worked with wood for ten years you should beable to this out of wood the only hard thing was making it fit right and comming up with a design I made a lot of looks untill I came up with this look that I liked the best. I still have one of my second best spoiler I might part with it one day or if I get good in metal I just might make that one up it will be a lot more easy then this one and put it on ebay and see how much it fetches

Hi ship your funny the ones that say there so poor is the ones that are so richI tell you if only you were with me when I was trying to figgure out what kind of style I was looking for you could of just taken one before it was garbage, I think back now I could of sold them some one would of liked them since we all got a certain look we like, and I'm sure if any one had one that was out of wood it would be then so easy to change.
I had no idea but tryed so many different styles some just did not suit the rocket and some did but for some reason was just not what I was looking for untill I came up with his one .
The only one I almost destroyed was this one its close to the style I end up with but the sides are flat and its not as sleek the only thing is the scoop is off and I started to sand it to change the shape. But decided to start all over just in case I didn't come up with anything better and I did I think
so I might use this one to pratice on because its more simple to do and if it does come out not to bad I'll give you first dibs keeping in mind that your the poorest one on the forum this is what it did look like before I took the scoop off.javascript:;
