Bike quit today and I was able to get a sweep and restart twice for maybe 30 seconds each. After that, the horn worked but the lights did not. I checked the fuses and the battery connections and all seemed well. I have noticed problems for several years (o6) in that I could turn off the Bike by jiggling the key in the on position and sometimes had to jiggle the key to get a sweep before starting.
I had the Eastern Beaver mod last fall but I'm assuming the damage had already occurred and that it is the ignition switch.
Any ideas and could an electrical/mechanical moron clean and repair or replace the switch, assuming that is the problem? thanks

I have been wondering about mine also. It has not gave me a problem yet but it is starting to look like I should think about adding the EB kit before it screws up. I think when it does I am going keyless like Ian did. He has a thread here on the site somewhere.

Ya need to remove the ignition barrel..means getting the security screws off; which has been easy for some, & a pitta to others! drilling with a hard drill bit can do it. Once off, you can open her up & look for breaks in the soldering.
