My oh my what a beautiful bike. My favorite colors (and the fastest).

Namaste, I see you got the same color combo I had when I the 1700 Thunderbird. I am riding a Rocket III Touring now (also red and black...2014) but I do have great memories of my time with the T-bird. I had two 2,600 miles trips on it and it ran like a champ.

Then I bought a 2012 HD Road Glide Ultra...had it for about 16 months...now I am back on a Triumph...need I say more...at least I got the Harley thing out of my blood but it was an expensive lesson that I hopefully will never repeat (unless I become a millionaire and just want to have a variety of bikes to ride).

Good luck with it and I hope it gives you many great times.

Not much chance he's gonna be seeing this Dennis - According to the site info, he hasn't logged on since September 30, 2012.

Oh well, I guess there's always a chance . . . . . . .

Friend has a 2010 T-bird, and texted me today, that the bike stranded him when it wouldn't start. He said he'd had problems with "dead starts" (not sure what he means by that) and this afternoon, nothing.

He's been taking the bike to Chesapeake Cycles in Maryland and was told, "Dead starts are just part of life." He is not mechanically inclined and is frustrated by what he perceives is crap.

He's happy with the bike otherwise, and would like to get to the bottom of this and behind him.

Suggestions ?
