E-Bay Snipers

I have lost a couple of auctions because I made a bid in the last few seconds, that was down to my broadband speed so you need to take that into account.

Just a thought, are you people saying that using a snipe bid would overcome any speed issues?

You aren't making the snipe bid by camping out on the item till 0200.
YOUR connection speed has nothing to do with it.
the snipe company has fast internet connections
and are willing to camp out for you.

pretty much yea, long as the world don't end
or the entire internet vapor lock.

That's right. Just always bid your max price. You won't necessarily have to pay it. This gives you a better chance of winning the item - but won't guarantee a bargain. If you're wanting a bargain you have to take your chances. Win v bargain.

Kinda, but not exactly. It's not smart to lay out your maximum bid right away.

Part of the problem with eBay is the human element. Other bidders become emotional and see that someone else is bidding $11.50 for their $10 item. They get into a bidding war and the $10 item sells for $24.50. Only the seller wins.

The smart way to buy from EB is to wait until the last moment...either manually or via a bid sniping program. That method removes all emotion.

And again, an item is always what YOU, the bidder, think it's worth.

Happy bidding!

There are two errors in your statement:

1. What is worth $1 to YOU may be worth $2 to me.

2. Those with enough $$ really don't worry about what an item is worth.

What are you riding, a Honda Rebel?

I would like to apologize to anybody i offended by the word sucker. i was making a joke and laughing at myself. my 1st deal i can remember (about 63 years ago) was when my dad told me i could have all the ice cream i could eat if i got my tonsils removed, i said sure. And there was the time he gave me the tiny round red pepper off the bush in the front yard i knew it could not be hot because i had seen birds eating it. he had a lot of ice cream for me,lol I have made a lot of sucker deals since then hopefully i will be around for many more.
It is true i don't have $$ , as a matter of fact i am a cheeepp mf. how cheep in 1975 i bought a 67 el camino w/o eng &trans for $100 and a 65 impala for $100 took the eng&trans put it in and have been driving every since. (every day driver)
i tell people that i just about got my moneys worth. lol
I think it is great that some people have $$ it makes it possible for me to buy the things that i want at a price that i can afford.

ps don't be bad mouthing my honda rebel :
