Might be pretty close if it settled in at 850 without adjusting anything. Still I would be happiest if I went through the adjustment procedure. You'll know you need it if you note strange variable idle speeds and other unexplainable behaviors.

reset should be done ign on engine not running
the way mine works is when i turn on the ign (engine not running) the stepper motor extends then returns to a set position .72 v

now i would move the rubber on the stepper motor and spray with wd40 then turn on and off ign to see if u can get it to work properly.
for checking purposes only
if u can get the stepper motor to read real close to .72 then without turning off ign u can disconnect the elect connector and start and run the bike to see if u set any codes beside the stepper code.

Well I would have had it done if it wasn't for the fact that I had been adjusting the wrong TPS, then the laptop died, back at it again tomorrow

i think that i had it of once but usually i just move the rubber and spray also spray while some one works the ign.
it is real dusty her so my throttles and stepper gets sticky
