Hello, I bought DSM and installed following youtube video. But after work I found out that attached metal sheet is too short and horn is not located very good. Also electric cables are really accurate to original horn and for new are short.
Therefore I created new holder. Material is inox, thick 1mm. Other dimensions are described on paper.
Today I will spray it completely with black color. On 4th photo are visible edges from previous plate, new are closer to connectors.

I painted also rear side of the horn to protect it from rust, because it is facing forward. Cables are exactly long, could be 1cm longer, so I hope there will be no problem in the future. Horn cannot be positioned lower, or, maybe few milimeters, because there is pipe from cooler (or what).
If you compare it with video from youtube, the longer holder will help position the horn further away from the exhaust, away from the edge of the bonnet and point it downwards as it should be. So overall it's better positioned, and it looks nicer.

Thanks for your post on this subject. I bought a similar horn with the intention of doing the same process as you have done.
Hoping to get around to doing it in the next week or so.
The one i've got is a Fiamm TR99.... It's approx 95mm diameter

Biggest problem are short wirings on motorcycle. I would be glad if they were 1-2 cm longer.

Yes, I only offered the horn up to the area where it's going, without taking any of the existing away, but I could see that it wasn't going to be a simple swap out job.
Adding some extra length to the wires should help with my installation as it will enable me to rotate the horn into a position where it fits the available space best.

Well....you got me motivated to fit the new horn.
The wiring ended up being just long enough to fit the horn in this position without the need for extending and without any noticeable stretch. Just about right , I would say.
It's fairly close to the lead exhaust downpipe, but should be ok, I think....fingers crossed.

Here's a side view......
It's as far forward as I can get it. There is some rigid metal pipework that runs across the front of the engine which stops the horn from tucking inside the line of the radiator trim.
Airflow through the radiator doesn't look like it has been affected at all, and the horn isn't touching anything. New home made mounting bracket holds the horn firmly.
I think I might design & make a small trim cover to tidy the appearance of the back face of the horn unit.
