BOSS HOSS.JPG

Both these bikes have 350 CHEVY ZZ4 motors in them. They're rated at 400 hp. The Boss Hoss has a pretty parasitic transmission so it saps quie a bit more hp than the chopper. The chopper is fast in my opinion, from 80 to 150 its a rocket. The Boss is a good hiway cruiser, air ride, windshield, etc. The chopper sounds like a dragster when at a light and it only has a high gear with a torque converter so you just twist and hang on. Its long so its easy to control if it gets a little sideways. Its a crowd pleaser wherever it goes and its lots of fun to ride even just putting down the street. The chopper is a rigid but its ore comfortable than you would think. Its really no good for much except showing off and having some fun around town. I have never ridden a faster bike but I'm sure its not as fast as a Carpenter Rocket. It has beaten a stock HYABUSA but it was very close form a rolling start. I don't know what year the Hyabusa was. I been riding both V8 bikes about 8 years, they never break. The Boss is actually pretty practicle as a highway bike for long trips. These are different any motorcycle made, they aren't the fastest but they are fast and the power is down low. The 350 Chevy in the chopper gets its revs as if it were just on an engine stand, its fun. The Boss Hoss is slower but not by to much, it has a two speed trans and it will do 100 in low. I never rode it faster than 130 as I dont trust the windshield from flying in my face. I rode the chopper at 152, it has no windshield. Both bikes were rock steady at those speeds.

The company custom makes about 20 V8 Chopper bikes a year, they build more trikes, trikes are real popular now a days. My bike is old (2008) so it has a little 400 hp Chevy V8, the new ones have small block 427 motors with 575 hp stock and an extra 100hp nitrous shot is available. A guy in Oklahoma builds them. Boss Hoss isn't building bikes only trikes currently but that might change as they just got a new owner.

I saw a couple run the 1/4 with nitrous they claimed they made 700HP but they didnt run any good times but made a lot of noise and did smokey burnouts

They were probably Boss Hoss bikes, they always claim big power but I never had one beat my little chopper. there is one guy out of Chacago that drag races snowmobiles and a Boss Hoss set up for the drags, he gets into the 8 second bracket but its really not a street bike.

They are motorcycle tires, The Boss Hoss has a AVON on the back and a Metzler 880 up front. The chopper as Metzlers on both ends.

YES thats what I was told and your getting 20,000 miles on a rear on those big heavy beasts. I have friends that changed over to the AVON on their street ridden turbo funny bikes.

No you wont get 20000 miles even on the front. I get around 7000 if I'm being nice, 3000 if I'm having fun. Tires are pricey and a PITA to replace. The 300 rear tire needs to be shaved about 1/16 off a ridge on one side or it nicks the chain. I've gotten better at not trying to please the crowd with burnouts when ever theres an audience. The Boss Hoss is 1300 pounds and the Chopper is just under a thousand pounds.
