I am curious and looking for an answer. Does Carpenter Racing sell new Rocket 3 Roadsters with 240 hp or do you buy one and ship it to them and they do the conversion? What is the approximate total cost? Is it still a bike that can be ridden in town with reliability? I read that its an 8 second bike with the right rider, very impressive. Is that now considered to be the fastest bike made today or is there another. A friend of mine got barely into 9 seconds on his V8 Chopper with 575 HP but on a street tire as he rides the bike daily. Iv'e seriously thought about the possibility of buying a Carpenter bike many times but don't really know much about them. I already have three bikes and another would actually be kind of stupid but I've been called that many times amongst other things and its never changed anything.

My R3T is a 2015. Its actually even hotter than my Boss Hoss. I had to wrap the headers when I first got it. You might have ridden a 502 Boss Hoss as they are terrible hot or maybe a newer one with the LS engine, I never rode one of them. Here in Las Vegas during the summer my Rocket was real bad but after the header wrap it was better, not great but better. I had some D&D pipes put on with the hope that the heat would be less with the removal of the stock mufflers, it did help some. The bike is not running as lean since its been retuned. Its cold here now so I almost wish the headers weren't wrapped right now. If the bike is moving the heat is not felt at all only in traffic in the summer. I mostly ride on the freeways and the Rocket is perfect for that. Last weekend I was in Southern California on it on a road called Angeles Crest Highway with many twists. It amazed me how well it handled even packing my wife who is little. On either of my V8's I would of dragged the pegs many times. I wasn't racing but I wasn't lollygagging and we never did drag a peg.

Impressive - That's what I would call a GREASE JOB!!!
IVE had the pleasure of doing that to several of the arrogant cocky sportbikers we know, some got so upset they wont talk to us for months ? they also get angry when you leave them on some of the twisty roller coaster like roads we ride on . They are so shocked when you pass them and continue to leave them further and further behind untill the Rocket is just a speck off in the distance. WOW its so much fun LOL and Im on a big comfy cruiser.

What model is your bike?

I have 2 Rockets a 2009 Classic thats stock except for the BST carbon fibre wheels and a 2012 Roadster thats modded 240+HP package, Brute HP Exhaust .
Is there any downside to the 240hp package? Does it require more maintenance than a stock one? If a new one is bought is there any warranty?

Must admit that THAT interests me.
YES you would enjoy messing with the squids on Sport bikes and there are lots of modified Harleys out there along with the other Musclebikes VMAX,DIAVEL ,V ROD ,KTM 1290 SUPERDUKE, and all the other naked STREET FIGHTERS not to mention all the new big HP SUPER CARS
