Crankcase dummy...

hehe

No problem, i understood after 2 seconds!! :p The seat should pop off with a key. It is really a shame to have to breakout tools and reading glasses.. (I am going blind). I never use glasses for driving. I just need glasses to do simple things, like unfasten a bra.. :D

I found the same as Hans. I stuffed my rain suit in the old air box and it smelt of oily fumes within a couple of days so I got off my lazy arse and put the little filter on that I had already purchased from Flipmeister. When hooked up in stock form the fumes from the crankcase are pushed into the air box and then drawn into the engine to be burned.

The reason for the filter is NOT for positive pressure, it is for NEGATIVE pressure. Under positive pressure oil fumes are forced out of the crankcase through the breather pipe. You need no filter for this because what gets messy can be cleaned up. When the oil cools off the crankcase can go to negative pressure sucking in air and ANYTHING in the air into your crankcase. For that you need the filter, unless you prefer road salt, abrasive grit and rocky chunks mingling with your bearings, rings and gears.

R3t seat

Removing the seat on an R3T is a 3 minute job.
No its not as easy to do as the other rockets, but it is still an easy job.
I have no idea what the big deal is.
Steelboss, get the filter for the crankcase from flip.
