Even I was on time that day hahahaha. Can't wait for the BRP to reopen. It sucks riding around on I-40 to get to the other end and thats either direction from the house.

Perhaps you could let us know, and perhaps some meetings could happen among those of us within our respective riding range.

Now that the snow has fallen to invoke the reaction of the salt trucks, machinery I care about is off the road until good rains have washed the roads clear.
 
Spring rains wash a lot of residual stone out into the curves as well. Like walking on a hardwood floor covered in marbles. I've had my front wheel walk out about a foot a few times. Not a good feeling early in the season and yes we old guys get rusty in da winters. You can find me a lot in Southwest Virginia and Eastern Kentucky spring, summer and fall.

It doesn't have to be rain wash. Friend and I was riding down hwy 215 out of NC. The road has switch backs just like most mountain roads. I was leading with friend behind me when out of nowhere this guy walks out in the road and slows me down to a stop. Just ahead around the bend a couple motorcyclist had went down. There was "pee" gravel all over the road in a curve. I guess it feel off a dump truck or something. There was like six or seven guys that was riding together and the first two that entered the curve covered with gravel went down. If there hadn't been anyone around to stop me I seriously doubt I would have made it through the curve with the painted side up. That's how bad it was.

As we headed on out way we passed a ambulance heading to the accident. I don't know what kind of condition the two guys was in but they both was laying there talking so they was "OK" I guess.
