check engine light

Does anybody know how to get the check engine light off? I unplugged a sensor next to the idle adjustment screw and now the light will not go off.

Can I do this myself or do I need to go to the dealership?

Any insight would be appreciated.

if plugged back in and all is well the light will go out after 3 cold starts. No need to visit the dealer to turn it off
