Chasing gremlins

Just took the bike for a quick 20 minute ride. Much improved. Idle is still a bit off, fluctuating between about 600 revs up go about 950.

Ome time, I came to a stop quickly and the bike dropped to about 500 and died, but started right back up.

Taking the kids out now, as it's too hot to sit around much more.

I think I'm still looking at a possible air leak, around the plenum. I don't think those boots are seating fully.

I turned the balance screws about a half turn, and that helped, but I need to do more and it's a lot of work with the stock air box to remove it all, turn the screw, then reinstall it all to test.

Just ran the bike, at idle, for over 15 minutes. This is the longest it's gone without stalling out. MAP values are between 650-670, so balancing is needed.

All vac lines look good and attached, so no worries there anymore. All airbox connections in tact and tight.

I'll make any necessary adjustments to the ISCV , to see if that helps (it should)

Have you successfully used it?
Only to connect to windows, not a bike. I have a BMW which doesn’t work with Tuneecu. If your bike is running smoothly after rebalancing, you probably don’t need to worry about mapping right away. You could wait for the lonelec. Regarding the 20352 stock map, I was asking R3RTurbo if he has it for you. I do.

Why do you need to reinstall the plenum to test?

When I had it off, I ran the bike for about 2 seconds and it blew flames out the throttle bodies
It shouldn’t backfire with or without the plenum. I assume you’re leaving the temperature and MAP sensors connected when you run it without the plenum?

Everything is connected.

It was backfiring something fierce, after the last ride it's only backfiring (through the throttle bodies) a lesser amount.

The amount is like it to do this is zero haha

Too rich? Spark plugs? Here’s an unlikely scenario. General practice was to copy the more advanced ignition table I3 for the higher gears (4-5) into I2 (2-3) and I1 (1st). Maybe someone inadvertently copied the advanced ignition table into the table for neutral I(N). Unlikely though.

Im pulling plugs to check them.

It was definitely too rich for a long time. I think I've corrected it, but may be dealing with fouled plugs
