Cam Chain

BK Performance (Bert Kingston) just supplied me with a new cam chain to suit the Rocket. Cost me $150 which is less than half what Triumph Australia /Team Moto quoted me.

Just google BK Performance... Berts out the bayside nowadays. Its not a DID chain like stock and he didn't have it in 85 side links. He cut and joined a 700 link chain he had for something or another. Assured me the quality was as good if not better than DID... im stoked to have been able to source one locally.

Camchain fitted , was a fairly easy task . From initial quote of $1,800 to have a shop do the job, got it done myself with help from Donny to set up the cams etc. Cost me a little over $300 for parts. Was told i'd need a new camshaft sprocket but mine was hardly worn. Bikes down at ProCycle Dyno now , have it back next Saturday. Fred has assured me i won't know the bike when he's finished with it. Dyno costing me $550 , didn't have to buy Power Commander or anything else , Fred does the tune through the Triumph ECU .. Going to be a long week i reckon

Mate of mine uses procycle dyno for everything including services swears by them. Think that's where I will take mine from now on

Be longer if you didn't have the Speedy mate, but I'd be bustin to get it back too. Glad the first bit's done and look forward to hearing how you find it in a week.

Fred seems to know and love Rockets .. was excited about doing mine seeing i have soo many k's on it.. reckons it'll be like a new bike next time i ride it. He's a mate of Donny's, both are old drag racers.
