Only problem with a bike you really like the appearance is keeping it clean. Hate all the bugs! How about this idea: seran wrap over front lights etc. Come back from long ride, rip it off, done! City riding no need. May try next ride, will take pics. Haha.
 
When I am courageous, I just wipe with a wet cloth the "fresh" crashed bugs. It is really easy before they will dry on the paint or headlights.
 
E'm starting to think we may have a communication break down here. I really do eat them raw and if not dead the better. Then again i am a rural rider in OKLAHOMA. Country to the bone.

But you still have to work to scrap them off before eating them. Take saran wrap into the house and eat off saran like that candy long ago was on paper, you bit the small beads off. Clean bike, satisfied belly!
 
Nope This time of year raise face-shield and smile. Swallow before dead. Like the meaty end.The rest can go down without much trouble.

After several hours in 90% +, hwy riding, dried out by the time I get home.

I think you are missing my point. No matter how many live bugs you scarf while riding, you still have a messy bike when you get back.
