One more vote for needing a header before seeing any gains from the intake.

Several of the Gurus on here report no real gains in airflow until you chunk the stock header. :(
I like the look stock and from what I can gather all the best options produce a lot of heat. For me, the only reason to go with triple pods or ramair is to forego the pain in the ass stock ductwork.

PM me if you decide to come this way; BTW no green accepted. Really though; order the cable from Lonetec and follow the directions. It would be a lot less trouble and cost less than the fuel to get here; if you have access to a Windows laptop.

part from breathing easier, getting rid of the air plumbing makes everything else under the tank easier to do. For that alone it is worth the price of entry.

I agree with you on that. The plumbing is a nightmare to put back once removed. Chunk it! lol

Just if anyone sees this.... I connect my cable to the bike...and get the "ECU is not responding check cable turn ignition off and back on" while using TuneECU. This has never happen before. I get the red light flashing in the bottom right hand corner but it does not turn green and then I get the message. I will have another go at it when I get off work today. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Mully, I don't know if this be the case with you but I've read other posts where people had the cable from Amazon & had that problem then bought the one from Lonelec.com & that solved it. just guessing

Yeah I looked into that last night. The cable I have used to work just fine but I don't know what is going on now. It's not lonelec cable. I'm guessing the cable is worn out. I've had it for like 5 yrs. I guess I'll get the cable you mentioned and go from there. Thanks.

I had the same issue with the amazon cable. It was worth the money and the wait for the lonelec cable. I haven't used it since last year but it worked the firs time I used it. I should probably hook it up and do a quick check of everything now that you mention this.
