I just spent the day installing a Brightasslights Bal-T3R. It fit almost perfectly on the mounting plate that holds the reflector clamped to the luggage rack. It's pretty bright with many flash pattern options and makes my stopping much more visible compared to the wimpy taillight. Since it only has 3 bright LEDs it's not quite as bright as the taillight I had on my Harley from the same company. Still, all in all it's not bad. I don't seem to be able to post a video, so I guess a crappy picture will have to do.

(As long as I'm logged in, how do you post a video???) Problem solved!

Here is another edit to my original forum post...

Here is a YouTube Video I made and the light demonstration. I did not demo the wiring I did...you're on your own with that but I can help if needed. Be kind now towards my effort. Lol

I talked to them about the Rocket as they supposedly do custom work. Was told there was a list and wait time was upwards of a year. Well, this was last year.

They never called me so I rang them. I was told they had no record of me. After some back n forth they got back to me a day or two later only to tell me they couldn't make one.

Needless to say, all of this didn't sit well with me. Don't think I would buy anything from them.

Just one mans experience YMMV!

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with them. They do make a great product but apparently they put there money where the numbers are...Harley Davidson. The taillight I had on my Fatboy was outstanding. It was like a strobe light. I think this smaller more universal light is a good alternative. When I hit my brakes at night I can see it illuminating objects behind me in my mirrors at least 200 ft away or more. Very impressive, easy to install and a good choice if you are looking to improve your visibility. Easily adjusts with a provided magnet. A little over $100 it is a great value..buy two and install them and you'll be as bright as a Christmas tree.

Wish someone made a good LED replacement for the OEM tail light.

I agree 100% but there just isn't a market for the Triumph and with the load resistor crap to make it work I wanted a simpler alternative. This is it. Simple to install by splicing into your tail and brake light wires, connect the ground and you're done. I was concerned about the wire length they provided but it was more than enough and I have it pretty well concealed.

What I would like to know is if the BrightAssLights are brighter than Hyperlites. Those two seem to be the contenders in rear lighting for Rockets.

I can't answer that, but here is a link to the YouTube Video I put together as to what I did and a demo of the light I did in daylight. I don't think I have a career in doing instructional videos. You'll have to overlook my word salad.
