Just Installed A Tachometer On My R3T

My KOSO BA035113 tachometer just stopped working. The needle sweeps upon powering up. However, when the engine starts, it stays at zero. After about a minute, the needle moves to 8.000 RPM and stays there. It does not respond to the engine at all. Checked all the connections and they are good...

Exedra Max radials on a Touring?

I used the Exedra Max bias plies on my Kawasaki Nomad 1700 and got 7-8000 miles out of them. The Nomad is similar in weight to the Rocket. I am on my first set of Exedra Max radials and have a little over 2,500 miles on them. They are wearing well, with little apparent wear, and handle great.

Exedra Max radials on a Touring?

I am running the Exedra Max on my R3T after using the Avon Cobras. I am running 40 psi front and 42 psi rear. I think they grip better than the Cobras. I got 14,681 miles on the Cobras. So far have 5,375 miles on the Exedras and they are wearing well. Will see how far they go.

    Brake lights

I believe the brake lights are on can bus system and send info to the ecu over the can bus system. The brake/running light therefore needs to be can bus compatible. The turn signals and license plate light are not on the can bus system so they can use regular LEDs. If you use leds for the...

    2015 touring seat removal

This could be your first mod. Replace bolts This mod replaces the bolts with quick release pins so tools are not needed to remove the seat. It works well for me. Thanks @Mad Dog.

    Brake lights

I got this one for my R3T primarily for it to be able to keep up with my brake light moduator. The incandescent bulb would look dim because it could not keep up with the modulator. superbrightleds.com It is red and can bus compatible.

Replace R3T foot rails to increase lean angle?

I am running Exedra Max front and rear. I like corners. When trying to keep up with @Fingers, I am touching the floor boards/foot rails while he keeps sailing around the curve! I just want to be able to keep up! He is also on a R3T. He does have progressive front and rear. Maybe that is the...

Replace R3T foot rails to increase lean angle?

I have read where the foot rails can be replaced on some rockets with those of a different model in order to increase the lean angle before the floorboards/rails touch the ground. Can this be done on the R3T? If so, which one? I have a 2014 R3T.

TPMS Installed and I like it.

My valves are metal rather than rubber. They seem to be doing OK so far.

TPMS Installed and I like it.

I have been using them and have no loss of pressure. They also did not change the balance of the tires. I do use Ride-On sealant which also acts as a tire balancer.

    Finally ready to roll

You are going to seriously confuse the Harley riders! Especially if you decide to leave them in your dust!

TPMS Installed and I like it.

When I ran my Avon Cobras, with 38 psi front and 44 psi rear, I saw similar increases in pressure. I am in Florida and it is approaching 90° Fahrenheit now. When it is cooler, it will be less. These are the highest temps I have seen. Basically, about a 10% increase in front pressure and a 20%...

TPMS Installed and I like it.

I am running Exedra Max radials on my R3T with 40 psi in the front and 42 psi in the rear. Once the tires warm up, the pressure can get to 45 psi in the front and 51 psi in the rear.

TPMS Installed and I like it.

@Starmanut I got the screw on T-valve stems and put them on. They work like a charm. These were a great find. They make it much easier to add/remove air to/from the tires. I have been using an Accugage with extension hose for the rear and just the Accugage for the front. There was a 1.5-2 lb...

    Utopia backrest for R3T

I have one on my R3T. Like you said, pretty straight forward. Had a pneumatic stapler from Harbor Freight. Worked well getting everything back together.

TPMS Installed and I like it.

I have the Garmin Zumo 395LM and the tire pressure sensors. This has been a good combination for me. I like the idea of the T-valve stem set up. Would not have to take the sensor off to add air. Does the higher pressure of the air hose affect the sensor? Do they have much effect on balance?

Anyone know how to lift the tank?

When I lift the tank of my R3T, I take out the 3 bolts which hold the console on (5 mm hex head), move the console to the right or left and unscrew the visible bolt. I replaced the torx head bolts with 5 mm hex head bolts. Move the console to the other side and remove the other bolt. I leave the...
