    Getting New Avon Cobra's Installed

All the "things" that had to come off the bike just to get the wheels off for new tires smh! My front was cupping and my rear down to the wear indicators, 8500 miles. The wheels are in the shop now getting fitted with Avon Cobras.

Comparison of 12 separate 7-inch LED headlight reflectors.

According to this video Truck Lite has the highest Lux rating, which I can attest to. I've had Truck lite head and driving lights for over a year. They may not look as high tech as the other models, but I sure can see what's ahead of me. They're also comparatively inexpensive.

Is the R3T really a piece of junk?

Problems that arise with the R3T, posted in these forums, are not problems every machine will experience. The incidence of them is magnified by their appearance in these forums. That being said, the wealth of information about maintenance and repair on these pages outweighs any anxiety related...

    Foglight (Highway light) bulb replacement

Amazing- Here! Buy these headlights, they do nothing better than stock and burn out 5 times faster. I do like that the tint of the light coming from the headlamp shells is different from standard halogen. I was hoping it would assist with being seen by others. If the touring didn't have...

    Foglight (Highway light) bulb replacement

The first thing I did with my R3T was swap out the stock bulbs with Sylvania Silverstar. They are easy to find in auto and department stores.

    2014 R3T Foot Rests Wobbling

I just checked the floorboards on my 14 touring. I don't have a wobble on the brake side floorboard. Of course give your concern to the dealer, you pay enough for the this machine. It should be cheery

    I have two issues...

Ski- your dealer needs to resolve that issue. Resetting like that means the battery has been lost in the circuit and restored -or- could be the CPU is buggy. I noticed the CPU on the bike needs to boot up before I can engage the starter. I am ready a second or so before it is. I also noticed...

How much lash in the drive train is normal?

I agree with Ricochet, shaft drive bikes will always have drivetrain lash. Using a lower gear usually makes it disappear for me. In stop and go traffic I finesse the clutch. Lugging the engine is the best way to feel lash, can be unnerving then. I like shaft drive's reliability, lash is the...

Took my first real ride today.

My first real ride with my R3T was over the weekend. I did 80 miles on varied roads to get familiar with the machine. As long as the wheels turn the balance is great. When I put my feet down at stop if the bike wasn't standing straight it puts a lot of weight against your inner thigh. I...

Anyone run a 200 rear tire?

I have no training as an engineer but your comments make sense. I am thinking that the OEM tires on the R3T wear fast because the compounds in their production afford the tire more traction (grip) at the expense of service life. I think the weight of this machine needs tires that behave as...

    Side cover blew off...history

On my first garage day with my '14 tour I also noticed the left side cover pulled off the bike too easily. Thanks for the tips, I'll be tightening up the grommets or replacing them today.
