    Looking for an engine

HellFire, Who do you suggest I contact? It is being serviced at the Triumph dealer where it was purchased.

    Looking for an engine

Thanks for the input. To be more specific about what happened, I missed an upshift and gunned it in "false neutral". I could feel and hear rattling in the transmission, but I was already committed to passing a car. I mashed it into gear and got back into my own lane, but the rattle kept...

    Looking for an engine

While passing a car on a mountain pass, my transmission broke. I made it to the shoulder and as I tried to downshift, my rear wheel locked entirely. I just got the word from the shop that they started the diagnosis and found many pieces of gears in the lower part of the engine. They say it may...

    Resistor Mod?

I noticed a reduction of about 4mpg after the mod, but it's worth it.:D

That's amazing. What's the story behind it? How about a link?

Just joined the realm of real rides

I say the most bang for the buck is the resistor mod. Gain 100% power from first three gears for less than $10.00. :D http://www.r3owners.net/showthread.php?t=2281

    Resistor Mod?

I just did the mod this weekend, and it certainly adds more punch off the line. I expect to get a Tuneboy someday, but until then, this is a great way to unlock the power. I didn't install a switch though. I don't why I would ever want less power.

    Quick Question

Welcom to the forum Emerson. I agree with HeR3tic. I want to be able to scoot in a hurry if I need to without fumbling for first.

HeR3tic , Thanks for the tip. The TuneBoy sounds like the most bang for the buck. After that I am thinking the cat-bypass would be a good investment.

Harley Guys Wave at Me Now

I just bought my Rocket a couple of weeks ago and noticed I get waves from Harley riders. (Many are enthusiastic waves.) Mile High Harley here in Denver was celebrating its seven year anniversay yesterday, so the streets were filled with packs/herds of them. As we passed, nearly everybody waved...

Greenie says Rocket III is too big. Waaahhhh!!

This guy just doesn't get it. (Check out the link below) "I can't think of any scenario where a rider needs the power output of the Rocket III's 2.3 liter engine. That engine would be just fine in a small car, and is complete excess in a motorcycle." :eek...

    New Tourer

Thanks for the warm welcome. I just finished a ride with two of my Harley buddies. I held back the whole ride except for once at a light. I had to smoke 'em just once. :D I love this machine!
