Ive had a set on my bike for uuuhhmm about 2 months now I think.. I noticed the difference right off the bat from the stock shocks, feel much more confidant in tight sweepers... they are suppose to be adjustable by hand.. but you have to be well.. atleast stronger than me to be able to do...

thanks DCRocket, I just fired out emails to two local shops, basically telling them I was shopping around for work to be done, and asking if either are familiar with these "good will warranties", if they offer, them or honor them... if they don't bite.. I will try a few more shops a little...

  9. Another High Idle Scenario

Yea, mine is acting up again... I had a TPS replaced and reset about 1 year ago.. same issues.. idle would get stuck at 1500-2000 rpm.. sometimes 3k. took it in last weekend, they said it would be a few days til they could look at my bike.. I couldn't wait.. so I tinkered with the tps...
  10. Rocket fixed. It was the stepper motor

Yea, when you are riding down a mountain with twisties and your bike doesnt drop the RPM's to give that throttle control that is needed. Im guessing since it all electrical driven... the stepper motor just started going haywire. I did a really nice ride today through some twisties in the...
  11. Rocket fixed. It was the stepper motor

I had crazy RPMS as well during riding.. it seemed it would get stuck at 1500rmp, then 2000, then 3000rpm all within about 15 minutes of riding. I would cut the ignition on the bike, and things would settle down a bit.. but after about 15 minutes of riding.. it would do it again.. Plus...
  12. Rocket fixed. It was the stepper motor

the TPS and Stepper motor does look like its removable w/o removing the throttle bodies.. but the manual says you have to remove the throttle bodies... I just wasn't sure if I was missing something.. so now I will prob be looking into doing a stepper motor and/or TPS R&R myself...
  13. Rocket fixed. It was the stepper motor

GASKET: did you manage to see the process of R&R'n the stepper motor and TPS? did they need to remove the throttle bodies? do you have a cost esitmate of what they charged for the work? .......................... Im still thinking its my stepper motor that has caused erratic idle...

  17. Amazing discovery CATbypass/Tors?

At idle I havn't been overly impressed with the sound.. but I do have to admit that the growl its always given while throttling up has been nice. I really need to hear some stock so I can really appreciate what I have..lol this is one of the reasons Ive been looking into the bypass/tors...
  18. Amazing discovery CATbypass/Tors?

Honestly Scotty, I thought they all sounded that way.. hahaha funny thing is... I went to a big biker spring bash last weekend and some guy with a harley but was familiar with the R3 asked me (just in general) if I ever thought of putting after market pipes on the bike. I said why? these...
  19. Amazing discovery CATbypass/Tors?

Yea, I agree that the previous owner probably had them fitted after he bought it. although the bike was originally purchased by the previous owner I believe back in april of 04. When I came across that posting stating that some early r3 may have come stock with the bypass + tors.. I meant...
