A look at the 2.5 Innards - DIY 20K mile service, including valve clearance check and shim replacement

I must have a very small leak in my clutch system, so I bleed the MC fairly often to restore full clutch function and go ahead and replace most of the fluid in the reservoir while I'm at it. At some point I'll locate and fix that leak. Signs of this are the bike having a little more trouble...

A look at the 2.5 Innards - DIY 20K mile service, including valve clearance check and shim replacement

A thread on just a clutch bleed would be what I have in my link and just skipping all the other things I would definitely do while you're already there. The bleed procedure is outlined in the service manual. It's just like bleeding a brake, so I didn't go into it and if you're comfortable going...

    R3 r clutch

Also, according to @sunny these springs fit new Rocket, but I still don't see parts for the new Rockets listed on the EBC or Barnett websites my friend installed it and he told me order these. he has supercharger TTS 2500cc Reactions:You and TURBO200R4

Why are people selling their Rockets?

I'm sure someone else has already said, but I think the Rockets go up for sale because some people like the idea of this kind of powerful bike, but once they get on it they find that they're scared to death of it. I sold my first Rocket Classic to a guy (upgraded to a Roadster) and he turned...

    Aftermarket Brake Levers - Experiences?

AVDB you mentioned. Easy to install, fully adjustable. I went down and the clutch lever folded up instead of breaking, as designed. Can't imagine anything could be any better https://www.r3owners.net/threads/custom-replacement-clutch-brake-levers-for-2-5.49532/

Center stand for GT models from XRay

It was completely flat. I'd say it's even more stable in that situation than when inflated, as it's leaned over a bit more and the tire "molds" to the ground. No worries here I assure you. I don't think it would make any difference which surface, but it was in a gravel driveway. In fact, you can...

I upgraded my dash cam to one with better video quality and night vision. Nice to have in certain situations like this a while back...

Center stand for GT models from XRay

I recently had a rear flat on my 3R. It did fine on the side stand while I fixed the tire in place. I plugged it and then filled it with enough air (using a portable pump) to get to a nearby service station to fill it up the rest of the way. Once home I redid the plug with an internal patch...

New 2.5L owner, things I hate about the motorcycle.

@Nashvegas upgraded his rear suspension and might chime in to share his experience. I remember that he was very happy with his choice.

Speaking of Ann Margaret - I did post this very recently in the "what music you're listening to" post, but I for one don't mind watching this again (and again, and again)....

    2.5L Life Expectancy

You should absolutely do the Penner Tune. Without it the bike is hobbled, even though it may not seem like it at first. Add the Penner Tune and it becomes the machine you thought you were buying.

    R3 r clutch

I've not replaced the clutch in the newer model, but as said above it's going to be very similar, if not exactly the same, as the 2.3s. I've done a couple in the past on my '11 Roadster- not hard if you pay attention to the order of the plates coming out and then new ones going in. Btw, I don't...

    Rear Tire of Choice

If you're going to stick with stock tires and want to shorten the rake I don't see any reason you couldn't raise the forks. I've pulled mine to replace the seals and change the fork oil. Nothing I can remember that would prevent that.

    Rear Tire of Choice

I've never had a problem getting the Exedra Max for the rear. They're less expensive and perform better with quicker handling (see above comments- raised height/shortened rake). Best prices I've found are at Rocky Mountain ATV...

    Front Tire Choices

Just to be clear- we're talking about the 2.5s. The front is a 150/80R-17. For me the Exedra Max on the rear is the best choice. I liked the Cruisetec set, but they're out of their mind on the cost and don't feel like making them. For the front there are a number of choices. The least...
