    Realistic Fuel Mileage?

Realistically I get about 16km/L, as I usually just bimble about. This is using E10 fuel. With an 18 litre tank this should give me 288 kms until dry (about 179 miles) but I never have the nerve to see if that is true. I also noticed that Penner's tune seems to be slightly better on fuel...

A look at the 2.5 Innards - DIY 20K mile service, including valve clearance check and shim replacement

Well I needed 9 valves adjusted at the 32k km point. Triumph said that that wasn't an issue. Hmm. I'm at 59k kms now and very interested to see what the story will be when I drop it in for the next major service.

    Tires

I've had both on the rear of my 2020 R3R, and I prefer the Avons, however they are hard to find so I have a Metz ready to go on the rear at next change. BTW I have 20k kms on the rear Avon at the mo and it still has life left in it.

    Adjust valves

At the first major service (32k kms) on my 2020 3R, nine (yes 9) valves needed adjustment. Be **** sure I'm getting them checked at the next major service.

    Quick question

This might not be relevant, but the "P" in the triumph logo on the left hand side of the tank has fallen off mine. I wonder what glue they use, as the two tank pads I had fitted also fell off.

    3R/GT Tire Choices

I tried the Metzelers and wasn't happy with them so I went back to the Avons. Might try the Exedra later but I've already quickened the steering a little by dropping the forks. I got about 18k kms out of both the Metz and Avon tyres so the only decider for me is price and feel, and I prefer...

    low fuel warning

Nearly 38 K kms now on mine. Kms / L varies from 15.5 to over 16 on long highway runs. Just don't look at it around town :)

Free unrestricted maps for Rocket R GT and TFC now online

Hey Doc, did you get they answers you were looking for yet? I ended up going through all 50+ pages of this thread and found what I was looking for. It's a bit of research but it is all there. The main highlights are keeping the battery voltage up and don't do the adjustments. Takes less than...

Favor please: bad vibration rear - 2020 R3R

I have new tires now and the head shaking is much less (both Avon Cobra Chromes). Previously I had an Avon on the front and a Metzeler on the back.

    R3 GT 2020: oil consumption

in 36+ thousand kms I have rarely had to top mine up. I check it using the triumph method and once it has half way between the high and low level marks I leave it alone. In fact it seems to be using less oil lately. I use fully synthetic oil, 15W50 grade.

    Brake bads change

On my R3R I changed the front pads at about 18k miles, but they still had some left in them. The rear pads were ok.

How to carry wet weather gear on Rocket 3

I have the standard rear luggage rack. I bolted a Givi tank ring to it and now I can fit a number of Givi tank bags. The snap-on / off system is very convenient.

    2 tire options, which one

I got about 20kms out of the first set of Avons, then I put the Metz 888 on, however the front was faulty and I changed it back to an Avon. Now I have 33kms on the bike, still plenty of meat left on both tires, but I going with Avons fully from now on. The rear Metz stepped out on me twice on...

    Front fork height

Hi all, has anyone raised or lowered their front forks yet? Mine were set at 7mm proud of the top clamp from factory, and I raised them to 10mm proud, an increase of 3mm. I felt a small difference when turning in to corners and on roundabouts, i.e. less vague and felt a little more connected...
