  1. For Sale 2011 Carpenter Stage 1 roadster. 2200 miles

Once again I apologize if the above was confusing. Not my intention at all!
  2. For Sale 2011 Carpenter Stage 1 roadster. 2200 miles

I apologize for the confusion. I in the original post said I had it on eBay and it was at 9,200 with no bids. If someone bid on it and it never went higher than 9,200, which it didn't look like it would, that would be the sale price, but I didn't intend to stop the auction at that price. I...
  3. For Sale 2011 Carpenter Stage 1 roadster. 2200 miles

Oh, sorry didn't see the question. Correct, stock headers with staintune xover and TOR. Has the 3x k&n filters under the claw. Just didn't want it to be loud, 180hp was enough and I like the sleeper look. Can't tell it from totally stock.
  4. For Sale 2011 Carpenter Stage 1 roadster. 2200 miles

Yep, I am in Johnston IA. If anyone is close they are welcome to come by and take a look and a ride.
  5. For Sale 2011 Carpenter Stage 1 roadster. 2200 miles

Selling my 2011 rocket roadster, only 2300 miles. You can see from the low miles I just don't have time to ride it much! Bought it new and condition is perfect. Had the stage 1 package put on around 200 miles and it has been awesome ever since. The stage 1 kit is really a great option, keeps...
  6. Carpenter 210+ VS 240+ on the street

I stopped posting to the forums a long time ago because it got so hostile, but after 2.5 years or so the 210 kit is still going strong if anyone is interested. I am still happy with it, and pleased I picked the 210 kit over the 240. Figured at the time I could use the lower compression for some...
  7. Carpenter Stage 1

Final final update (I hope). Putting the TOR and xover back on did regain some of the lost HP, but the bike didn't pull as strong before the jars. Final HP was 173 and the sorry tq was 138(!!!) quite high in the rpm range. Still strange the jars flowed better (ran lean) and made less power - I...
  8. Carpenter Stage 1

The TOR's are going back on. If anyone wants a CHEAP set of jardines look at ebay next week. Used for about 3 hours... starting bid? not sure if that will be $1 or $50 yet
  9. Carpenter Stage 1

"Ride enjoy and save some money" I like that advise, but once you reach a point dumping money at something you have to call it quits, so the money I save will not be going at the bike. I can't think that the brute would give 40hp over the jars, but hell, I guess I make poor choices anyway -...
  10. Carpenter Stage 1

Ok, I admit it now. I should have just shipped the thing to carp. Results with TOR's and staintune 180hp Results with jardine's 166hp. The tuner called carp and asked about it, while bob wasn't there the person they spoke with said that is what jardine's should make but switching from...
  11. Carpenter 240 pack

I have talked with a few others that have lamented the bottom end loss via PM's with the 240 kit too, but I don’t have any experience with that kit. But warp is right, it could very well be an issue with my bike – I will report back when the Jardines get tuned, but I honestly think it’s a trade...
  12. Carpenter 240 pack

I'm sorry, I must have been confusing - yes there is a loss on the bottom and it only starts coming on strong mid range 3 or 4k and after that its a wild ride! I think before 4k it doesn't pull quite as strong, I am guessing the tq is lower at that point (than pre carp but with the intake and...
  13. Carpenter 240 pack

That is a tricky one, since the bike has so much more power on these long straight low density Iowa roads I go much faster, so I can't really give an answer on highway. I did install the roadster flyscreen since I can go so much faster! City is much worse mileage, since you have to rev the bike...
  14. Carpenter 240 pack

Cheers, glad the info is of use!
  15. Carpenter 240 pack

I am just reporting what I heard on my end, sorry my OP made it sound that I hated carp - things were not as expected and I was asking for ideas, once I found out the Harley place dyno sucked I posted that and have tired to post every valid chunk of info as it happened. FYI the amount I bank...
  16. Carpenter 240 pack

I can't say the problem was 100% the shop as carp did credit them some money for "parts". I didn't ask too much about it at the time, but either way carp DID stand behind the work and sent the shop $$ so it wasn't passed to me - my shop did charge me half rate labor to redegree the cam, but it...
  17. Carpenter 240 pack

I like the 210 pack, it's a good option to boost power higher than other bikes (like listed) but keep the cost similar. I will report back after tuning with jardines today or tomorrow. One thing I have to say is that you lose the far bottom end, I am having the tuner check out the a/f down...
  18. Carpenter 240 pack

Carpenter did fine by me with the 210 package. I really don't like how Art talks to customers, but as for the work and Bob, it seems top notch to me. Carp did credit the the shop I went to for some parts and they refunded me that money - I dont know what it was all about exactly, but was happy...
  19. Jardine's are on the way

Been waitng over 2 months for a black set, and was told by jardine it would be 8 weeks at least before they make any... so I have a chrome set coming now!
  20. turbo???

If I was going to modify another rocket I would look into the boost is good kit. Doing cams and headwork shifts the power band up quite a bit in the rev range, I do miss effortless pulling way down low in the rpm range and not having to downshift around turns. The cams sound way cool tho!
