  1. wish i'd held off on buying mine

Good price. Only 10K miles in 6 years. What a waste of a good bike.
  2. O2 sensor disable

Thanks for the info. I already removed the secondaries a while ago and have PC3. This is probably covered somewhere but I can't locate the new values for the speedo, rev and speed limiter on the site. Could you steer me there? Thanks again.
  3. O2 sensor disable

Can the O2 sensor be disabled with TuneECU on an '05 Rocket? I haven't plugged into the Rocket yet but I had real good luck on my Thruxton with a new map and disabling the O2 sensor.
  4. Driver download

    Thanks Tripp, that'll do it.
  5. Driver download

I'm having problems setting up the cable driver. I've been reading so many instuctions my eyes hurt. Big question - All the intructions I read say to select "download" on the driver website. I cannot find the word "download" anywhere on the page. What on the page do I select to download the...
  6. cheap rockets

The market is really down on bikes right now. On top of that the Rocket is a white elephant. We, who bought and rode these bikes, are of a few. A dealer near me has had a decked out 06 with 13k miles at $9700 on Craigslist for almost a year...
  7. Rear Pad Wear

I'd be checking for problems if I only get 2500 miles out of a set of pads (sticking caliper, brake linkage adjustment, etc.) I don't consider myself a laid back rider at all and I've had bikes that I've never had to replace the rear pads. 25K on a Road King, 35K on a Royal Star, and at present...
  8. Gas prices suck!!!!

Today at cut rate place - $3.89 reg, $4.05 super. Bought a Thruxton yesterday.
  9. Hi Mileage Rockets

Good post on the over 100k bikes. With the low compression and high torque this engine should last a good while. I have 2 other bikes, but have 41k on my Rocket. Clutch broke at 3k and the idle solenoid crapped out, but other than that smooth sailing. ;)
  10. Beautiful day

Gotcha covered. Low 70s with slight overcast today. Shop shutdown for 2 weeks for Christmas. Yee-Hah !
  11. need some input

Keep in mind also that you may read of what looks like a lot of problems with the bike, but then there are many like myself that have had no problems in 42K miles on my 2005.:D
  12. need some input

Plenty of info you need on this site. I don't know your location, but you might want to do a little more shopping before you buy. Some dealers have left over new Rockets for the price of the one you're looking at. Out here in SoCal, Craigslist has had 2, 2008s for under 9K, both with under 10K...
  13. 'Da Baby

Great score on the bike. The black engine is a good balance with paint. IMHO - No more bling needed for that bike. PS - Register and insure now. I have the feeling you won't be able to wait for warm weather to ride that beauty.
  14. Summer Gloves

We call them trucker gloves. Light tan, small strap on the back, soft pig skin. $6. :D
  15. See Ya....

Good bye bro. Thanks for all the help and info you've shared through the years. Good luck.
  16. Forty Thousand Dollar Bike and No Warrenty

Don't get me wrong here guys but I'm a bit confused. You slam a Harley for a bad headlight, but then sing praise of a bike that you paid around 18K for out the door and after a few thousand miles the bike needs to be rebuilt (upgrade kit)? Not only that but the time it sat in the shop when you...
  17. Stop n Go Tire Repair Kit

How good do the mushroom plugs hold up over time/miles? My wallet is getting tapped out with replacing rear tires on both my bikes because of nails in the last 6 months.
  18. Charm School Dropouts

I guess I'm lucky. I can take care of renewals on-line. Haven't had to step inside of a DMV in years.:D
  19. Clutch Failure - Clutch will not disengage.

Mine had similar problems at 3k miles. Took it to the dealer. They found that one of the clutch spring bolt towers had broken off of the outer basket. It stayed in large chunks which made it easier to clean out. Triumph gave me a whole new clutch assembly under warranty.
  20. Throttle Cables

Remove the left handgrip and controls from the handlebars. Loosen the throttle/handgrip body, remove the handlebar clamp, slide the throttle housing and grip off the bars in one piece. No need to remove the cables. If you're replacing the cables also, Rusty gave a good description. It's not that...
