    I think you might be better off with a larger aftermarket screen for highway wind protection. The GT "screen" is hardly anything. Depending on your height, it might even dump wind into your face, making it worse than clean air. I found with windscreens its pretty much all or nothing.

    I think I used small channel locks. If they don't grab though, vise grips should work. or double nut them. If I would have thought about it, I might have replaced the studs with bolts for next time. I think they were like M6 or so.

    Did you try a Diavel? Curious how you thought it compared to the Rocket. I never rode one. Glad you're all mended!

    Thanks for that. I did the rear splines, but never even thought about the front. Dumb. I'll get them next tire change. Having access to the front u joint makes it easier to get the rear in. I used some string to lift it.

    I actually ordered some fine thread nuts for that project, To do the double nut thing,but I got lucky and just the acorns came off.

    Good luck with all that. I had OHS two years ago this March 8. All good now. Its amazing the medical tech they have these days.

    That actually looks pretty good without the side panel. My shock has a red anodized adjuster that would show. And be easy to use as well. Hmm, food for thought

    Yeah, mine are original on the FD with 10k miles. No leaks. I change it often too, because its so easy. But I replaced the oil drain washers last time.

    Oh, ok. yeah these are 14mm for engine plugs. I didn't realize the Dif. plugs were different. Any idea the right size for the Dif.? I'll have to get some then. I haven't changed them in almost 10k miles.

    Yeah I saw that access hole. I just wasn't to keen on pulling the battery and all those relays and what not. I pulled the oil side cover off on the left just in case there was a spot to get an extension across. No dice of course. @camoto, not sure where you're located, but if you're in a warm...

    I had a BT moto tune on my bike when it was stock. When I did a full exhaust and DNA filter, they sent me a new tune.

    Pretty sure traction control saved me today.

    I have that tune as well. I'm trying to make a touring bike out of mine, and the tank size and MPG's are certainly a drawback for that. I guess I'll see how annoying the frequent stops get.
