    The Polish rebuild

I’m following your post and like what you’re doing, Thank You.👍. I have 2 Rockets, first was an 08 classic and then later stumbled on an 06 with under 10K kms that was too cheap to pass by. I only have two seasons running the 08, but more than fifty on HDs and love the Rockets. Bought my 08 with...

    Missing, rough running….maybe?

Having a bit of issue with my ‘08 Classic with 60K km.. It’s just warming up here in central Alberta enough to go for descent rides. Was stored in my heated shop over winter with treated fuel, treated with SeaFoam. Seems after riding for about 40 mins. @ about 3-3500 rpm that it surges a bit...

    Hi everyone

Welcome from sunny Alberta, Canadastan!🤪 About that oil leak, just clean it up and monitor and you can check it out at your next tire change (and that won’t be far down the road!) 😂 And you’ll be lubing the driveshaft splines then too…RIGHT? Be mindful that the bevel box doesn’t hold very much...

    Lube the splines...

I wouldn’t be “ checking the torque”, you may break them loose from the locktite. If loose, they will come with the cap nuts.

Rocket 3 Valve Cover Gasket Replacement Video

Just a heads up for those tight places where the torque wrench & allen socket is too “long” to get in, cut the shaft of the socket down.

2016 Rocket III - Time for Tires - But which ones...and what sizes?

I will ad my two bits here. I’m an old HD rider but recently changed,2 yrs. ago, to R3 and for grip up here in Canadastan I always run Pirreli.👍. Keep in mind that the more grip you get with any tire, the less wear you will have.😩

Motor Trike conversion for my 2016 Rocket III

Doesn’t Motor Trike make a damper for it?

Motor Trike conversion for my 2016 Rocket III

You have WAYYYY more power than any HD manufactured trike!👍

Motor Trike conversion for my 2016 Rocket III

I won’t have to “let go” because I stumbled upon an ‘06 with less than 10k kms. for dirt cheap. It’s sitting in the corner of my shop just waiting for a Motor Trike kit.!😜 Mean while I’m putting mileage on my ‘08!👍

Ever wish you stripped out your threads? Diff drain bolt POS

The “true 3 pipe” exhaust will cost you torque & hp.. A good exhaust will enable the cylinders to help scavenge each other.

Ever wish you stripped out your threads? Diff drain bolt POS

I never torque the drain nor the fill bolts after snapping off the drain bolt once & having to dismantle the diff to get the magnet out! I drilled the heads to wire tie then together & just use a good fiber washer and snug up. Nver any thought to them vibrating out.👍

R3T - Stripped bevel box drain plug.

ABSOLUTELY!🙈. It will be ground up by the crown & pinion and with the small amount of oil in the bevel box will be become a “grinding paste”. Only way that I found to remove it was to dismantle the diff…..that’s after spending hours trying to “fish” it out with a heavy wire. Once you get it...

Motor Trike conversion for my 2016 Rocket III

I would be very interested also as the only feedback that I can get is they are VERY EXPENSIVE!🙈

    Lube the splines...

I believe that spring also helps to line up the driveshaft when reinstalling the bevel box.

    Lube the splines...

Well as I see it, when the hole is farther up the tube, and the diff holds so little oil, all the oil could be in the tube and you seize up the diff anyways. Not a good situation! I would install some sort of course foam, maybe an ear plug to keep the dirt out but allow “a drip or two” as a...
