  1. horn wiring

Looking in the rocket's service manual I can't realy see where the horn is hooked to. So I guessed it could be hooked to the main 30A fuse (not a bad thing), direct to the battery (not a bad thing) or to a lower value fuse (bad thing). Does anybody know where is the original horn hooked to?
  2. horn wiring

I have installed them and they work great. Wow, what a difference.. I took off the stock horn and placed the relay and wirings in it's place behind the chrome horn cover. The only doubt I have is that I have taken the current from the stock horn's + cable, and placed a fuse holder there in...
  3. horn wiring

    No, that's perfect. Thank you
  4. horn wiring

I can't find a link for them but the pair of horns I have is just like using two stock horns at the time, each have an outer spiral shell and they were quite popular in europe in the 70's. I wonder if the horn wiring can handle two horns at the time, that's all.
  5. horn wiring

I am fitting a couple of horns in my r3. The low-high type. Do I must put a relay for them or can I just use the existing wiring for the original bipbip horn?
  6. what is this connector for?

I just received the socket and this time yes, I found the T shaped connector. So now I am done, and I will look for a powerlette to cigarette adapter to have all options.
  7. what is this connector for?

No it's ok I believe, I've ordered the socket from http://www.jacklilley.com and as soon as I receive it I will look again for that connector. Thank you!
  8. what is this connector for?

aaaallright I'll have a look again
  9. what is this connector for?

That is exactly what I would like to install, but I'll have to look again because I didn't see any unused connector in there...
  10. what is this connector for?

It is a plain Rocket III (no Touring or Classic)
  11. what is this connector for?

Yes that's the one I mean. I will have a look again to see if the auxiliary socket one is there. Thank you all.
  12. what is this connector for?

No it hasn't.. And there's no one like the one you mention as far as I can see, not behind the black socket-ready cover nor behind the coloured one that say rocket III on it. Behind the later is the connector I mean, the terminals are placed in parallel and reads aprox 12 volts when the power...
  13. what is this connector for?

Hi, I found a squared little connector free, behind the left cover and I would like to know if it is used for the auxiliary power socket or not. Thank you.

    Ref number for those?
  15. Opinions on the Rocket 3, please

And so do I ! There's a direct replacement special relay from Kisan Technologies that can be programmed to do useful things with the turning lights, but I haven't found a solution for the flash light yet. If I don't find a ready to install kit, I will probably do it myself. It shouldn't be a big...
  16. long open bend at high speed.

Just a 1000 miles for the whole bike. Ocassionaly and for a couple of minutes my driving can be considered as aggressive, like in the moment that happened. I was driving near the speedo limit but still had some torque.
  17. long open bend at high speed.

Whatever it was it wasn't a pleasant situation... And I am not sure about the shocks being the cause, really. I never felt this same behaviour in my very short experience with my RIII, though it was the first time I twisted the throttle that much in a long bend...
  18. long open bend at high speed.

I see. Indeed the pavement wasn't up to par with the speed and yes, the stock shocks are set soft (possition #1). Anyway I ordered some progressives so I will find soon how much the shocks have to do with it. Thank you..
  19. long open bend at high speed.

Hi, I tried today something I don't do usually, just to test. On a very long open bend, a little downhill, I felt a little waving from the rear side. Not bouncing, more like as if the bike tried to unbend by itself, to straighten up, so waving is the best I can describe it. I was going fast to...
