    Madstad windshield!

So I finally put the 24" Mad Stad windshield on my bike. I didn't ride it far but did take it on the highway at 80 for about 10 miles. (just got back from a 2 week trip and want to spend time with my family.) I typically don't wear earplugs on trips and wear a C3pro. The buffeting wasn't bad...

    Madstad windshield!

Not needed. I'm glad you did it . People are waiting , its riding season, and you did a great review! I'm sure better than mine will be. I'm the same height as you. I'll post what I think of the 24". (eventually)

    Madstad windshield!

I started this thread and didn't post my review yet. My windshield arrived on the 5th but I left for vacation on the 4th. Funny thing, I'm from Pa and just by chance passed Madstad in Florida.(on my Honda)on the 7th! I still plan on posting my review of the 24 inch in a couple weeks when I get...

    Madstad windshield!

Part of the buffeting is because of the windshield flopping around in the rubber mounts. I found if you stuff something in between bars and shield it makes a huge difference.

My Rocket in Flames on the Launchpad!!

Not on a bike, but I have had faulty fill nozzles that don't shut off automatically 3 times in my life.

To ATGATT or not to ATGATT - and to what extent

Wearing protective gear has been a challenge for me. I have finally found a full armor jacket Rokkertech that I will actually wear when its 85 degrees out and in winter I wear it under leather or oxford softshell. Found great summer gloves also. Been wearing a full helmet since 09 after...

    Madstad windshield!

I ordered it and will post when I try it. This is the company I've been waiting for. Madstad is my preferred windshield on my f6b. Handsdown. I realize its a completely different design. Anyway I think some type of bracket is key to a full size touring windshield on our bike. Hopefully this...

    Madstad windshield!

So I'm Happy with the Madstad set up. Ordered the 24" and put about at least 500 miles on it. Its very sturdy. The bracket is the key. and the windshield is thick. I think its about as good as its going to get for our bikes. (other then a batwing) I'm 6ft1 and if I put it up all the way I can...

    California Scientific Windshield Review

Do you wear ear plugs? I agree it is amazing how we can have different experiences. Especially on the same bike. In my mind a touring windshield has to hold up to 80+mph with 20 or more mph winds constant and passing tractor trailers all day. I don't want to risk being 1st day into a trip...

    California Scientific Windshield Review

I bought a Cali windscreen and raised it 4 inches. We'll see if it survives the highway. Bought the tinted and wish I bought the clear because it is thicker. I already cracked a 2 piece Power Bronze. I don't wear ear plugs but had to with the high 2 piece power bronze. I figured out the...

    Fitting mid foot controls

I did it last year and bleed them the traditional way but did it 3 times to get it to the way it was ahead of time. Wasn't perfect. Also mounted forward pegs with bracket I already had. Used a long foot peg on one side and short one on the other. The front pegs are close. They don't interfere...

    Ran out of gas!

I ran mine out of gas on purpose. My light comes on at 90 miles. I'll be ****ed if I'm going to put gas in it a 90 miles. I had a 160 mile ride and had a quart bottle with me. As said before, I ran out at 150.8. I think using the odometer is always the safest. When you refill you can check...
