    Aftermarket exhaust

btw your analogy to the "rubber band" is excellent and describes it perfectly. I can't remember where I picked it up, but once I started playing with it -- can't go back. These days I challenge myself to not put my foot down unless it's a red light or total gridlock. That technique is exactly...

    Aftermarket exhaust

yeah the instructor suggested I come back with my bike and take the advanced course... he said just that you'll be scraping pegs in the parking lot. I think I'll go and do it ... don't really want to drop my beautiful new rocket though.. but it won't stop me from doing it.

    Aftermarket exhaust

I just took the motorcycle safety class with two of my kids... mainly to give them moral support but I learned a few reminders and things too.. but our class instructor did not offer this technique... which was kind of disappointing, though everything else in the class was great and on point...

    Aftermarket exhaust

You said exactly what was on my mind... I actually enjoy slow-speed traction control with this method... I feel naked at slow speeds without my foot feathering that rear brake...

    Aftermarket exhaust

Totally agree. Also - that low speed turn... my foot is going to be feathering the rear brake pedal along with gas so I get that push-pull low speed traction going... if my foot is out I have no rear brake access which is, in my view, ALWAYS in use when I'm going that slow and getting maximum...

    Givi luggage R3 GT

so far i have just connected the givi to the OEM rack. The givi has a hard plastic quick release base (separate) for the trunk. I had to drill three holes in the OEM rack and used bolts. I have not done anything additional for the structure, just been running it like that and it holds up. I...

    Windscreen R3 2020

Yep, still riding with it. AS mentioned, it doesn't cure 100% but takes a bite out of it. And below 70mph I feel almost nothing. So a good product. good quality as well. a little bit finicky to install, I can show you how I figured out the puzzle on mine. I say do it. In time I may look...

My Rocket in Flames on the Launchpad!!

It's the small stuff that gets you. We're always thinking about big problems but this is an example to more attention to small details. I just wanna ride the **** thing and be as safe as possible while doing it. This will stay in my brain forever going forward now. Good post for sure.

My Rocket in Flames on the Launchpad!!

Thank you for the heads-up, i'm going to be even more careful and mindful of gassing. I don't like the way the gas can come back over that little plate inside the tank either. have had some overspill, not much, on the tank, but its happened. No more! I need to gas more slowly and carefully...

I really like them actually. They are an old established shop. They've been helpful with me making some modifications in my R3, even shared some specific wiring information with me to help me add in an O2 manipulator after I replaced the exhaust. They are definitely riders at heart...

    What made you buy her?

It's so very simple you actually nailed it. It's 2500cc.. 150 CI.. But I gotta still say though... for me the monster sized engine is of course the feature piece that gets you looking at the bike, gets everybody looking at the bike... nothing like the conversation where a random guy thinks...

    What made you buy her?

I spent many years getting a restoration/rebuild on a T140 (1978) that just about tapped me out of patience and frustration, yet when I finally got it together in October of 2019 I was and still am very happy. I rode dirtbikes and other streetbikes in my younger days, put it all down for a...
