Unfortunately it's not like several years ago where it was postponed due to heavy rain.
This year was postponed due to the road surface being in worse condition after the roadworks crew went at it to resurface it....
So that's not something that's going to be resolved any time soon I'm afraid...
Ok first untick the O2 sensor box and save/load. Can leave O2 sensor connected and filling the hole in the harness and exhaust just being ignored by the ECU.
Reset adaptives.
How does it run then?
If still bad then let's talk about the MAP and TPS.
Nothing to do with the problem but that idle...
Good the write up on here helped, that's what it's there for.
The guide from my day (2016) just said to remove the MAP sensor and live with the check-engine light. I didn't like that, not a great solution. Figured out how to wire in & map a suitable (2.5 bar - the stock one is a little over 1...
If the stock MAP sensor is still connected, it might be bangjaxed from the boost and causing the fuelling issue.
Did the kit come with instructions - anything on what to do with the MAP sensor?
Not sure how useful it will be if it's your 3R you're testing, but since you asked;
One of my stock 2.3L engines was 200-210.
The 2.5 STROKER engine was ~175psi with stock cams/timing just increased stroke.
Carpenter 240hp 2.3L engine was also 200-210psi.
Thats a great idea. You'd think that there'd be a few practice light setups out there but u can't find anything other than desk ornaments.
Could indeed fabricate a system, but that's another project consuming time and I'm already short on that (which is why I am where I am). So was hoping one...
Yeap that's it, drag racing isn't as popular around this part of the world unfortunately. More into circuit racing.
Ah well at least I have time to practise.
Wonder if I can put together some kind of countdown traffic light thingy to practice timing the launch against.
Though the race here is...
Yyyyeaahhhh I had a think on it, and decided I'm gonna stick to my guns, get the bike fully ready - practice launching - time my quarters with Dragy and be sure I'm in a good place before revealing myself (lol)
So I ventured as far as 7000rpm for the first time since the build (using...
Hmm been a while since updating here.
Apart from a quiet couple of months over winter I've been out once every other week just riding it and having fun.
It's like I tuned as far as 6000rpm and 70% throttle with mild aggression in the roll on - and that's as much as you can reasonably use on the...
Just read it again now I'm woken up a bit. Looks like not used Barrett clutch fibers yet, just their cable.
Have you got photos of the old and new parts, and the work as you went?
Quite a few things spring to mind that could cause this.
Does the Barnett clutch kit require you to leave out the anti judder spring ring?
Like are all their fibers the same internal diameter.
Notice the OEM fibers, the innermost one has a larger internal diameter to allow space for the spring ring.
