    Thinking about exhaust options

Thank you, but I really don't deserve that description- but thanks. Good advice about the exhaust. I'll probably leave it as is, get a shop to mod it, or save my pennies for one of Paul's creations (first choice). Does anyone else think that the baffle box sits too close to the rear tire? If a...

    Thinking about exhaust options

That I'm even asking probably means the answer is a hard NO. I have no welding experience, but was just thinking of getting a cheap 110 MIG welder off Amazon to weld a nut onto the bracket for one of my heat shields. I don't have a bandsaw, but do have a cutoff wheel.... Wondering if I could...

What Your Clutch Fluid looks like at 20K - Also, Issues Restoring Pressure and Fixes

I bled the clutch when I did the valve adjustment not long ago. Here's what the fluid looks like just 8,000 miles later.... I wonder if these clutch and brake lines are just deteriorating.

    Thinking about exhaust options

For sound, looks, or both? How loud is the PB muffler compared to the Vandamon? I tried the Werkes and ended up selling to another happy user here, as I find that even with ear plugs I can't take the sound on long rides. I think PB can modify the sound somewhat according to your wishes. Just...

That'd be @Paul Bryant. His work is beautiful and would be my first choice if I had the funds. @vsteel and @Nashvegas both are rock'n his system.

    OUTLET NEAR HEADLIGHT

The converters are the easiest, but big and bulky and tend to go out fairly quickly (< a year) if you ride a lot. I finally just did this.... https://www.r3owners.net/threads/latest-mod-usb-on-the-dash.53152/

Do NOT reset adaptations. If you do, there is a fix, but just remember not to do that. You're about to see a very real boost in performance. Enjoy and thank you Mr, Penner.

High milage RIII misfire & idle issues

First thought when reading was the TPS, then possibly vacuum or map sensor. Clean the throttle bodies too. You hearing the choir? :-)

    looking for Jack-Be-Quick adapter

When I had the Roadster I made these, which in my opinion are better. You easily mount them when needed and then remove them- no worries of reducing clearance or them catching on something. https://www.r3owners.net/threads/jacking-up-bike.28345/post-692258

    Loose Plug Wires Question?

Yes, too tight, as in hard to push on. We're saying loose because they were just resting loose on top of the plugs. You're right about the caps. If you push hard enough to seat them the larger caps that cover the spark plug hole kind of sink down in the middle (concave), but don't fully go into...

    Loose Plug Wires Question?

I'll try that next time. I just forced them on with an open end wrench (or other pushing device). You have to push harder than whatever young girl was given that task at the factory (pretty hard) to hear it click into place. Mine stayed put each time after that. Amazing that it ran OK sitting loose
