    Another one bites the dust???

@1olbull, the old Triumph dealer, Ma's Cycles, was a wonderful place. My Dad said it was like a dealership in the 60s, they all knew your name and were willing to stand around and BS for hours. Great service department too. Legendary bought them out and it did change some. Still great people...

Something Failed, let’s find it! Transmission Analysis.

I am absolutely amazed by your abilities and envious of your free time to work on your bike. It is wonderful that you found the troubles causing your failure AND that you are so willing to share them with the community. I know I am grateful for your knowledge and willingness to share, and...

How To: Add Pressure Input for PC-V

I have followed the directions you gave, but I must be missing something. My Powercommander software sets all the tables to zeros - Target AFR (Pressure) and Trim (Pressure) under the Autotune and the Fuel and Fuel (Pressure) tables under the Primary Module. If I am not mistaken, does this...

How To: Add Pressure Input for PC-V

I am working on building this MAP table per advice given by @Claviger. The table is setup in PCV with the pressure numbers he gave across the top - however they don't convert the same as I have..... For example, the last two columns I have in my TuneECU file are 970 and 1010. Those convert to...

Calling All Electrical Gurus...Saddlebag Light Wiring Help

A lot of trailers work like that. I can’t tell you how, but I’m sure you could google some trailer light schematics and get some good pics to guide you through.

Stall when down shifting to a stop.

My 08 R3T is experiencing a very similar issue, except its on 1-n-2 downshifts to stops. I have been able to narrow it down to my gear position sensor.

    Another one bites the dust???

Legendary Motorsports of Fargo did, indeed, close. I am not sure why or what was going on as I hadn't been there in years. I can say that when they started they were Triumph and Indian, the idea being you would come to buy an Indian, get sticker shock, and there was a Triumph. I do not know...

Why does the manual call for new oil pickup bolts?

Is it possible that upon removal oil gets on the threads and they figure it is easier to replace the wetted screws with new dry ones than it would be to replace them? Oil wetted threads may not stay tight the way dry threads would. I know that sounds like a load of BS, and I feel dumb for...

    R3T Oil Usage

Check the drain plug. I just discovered my crush washer is bad. The bottom of the bike is all oil/grease now from a slow leak.

    What's your reccomended eyewear?

I had a set of Wiley X glasses when deployed and they had enough life in them yet when I came home to ride with. Loved them. That was years ago though and I’m not sure they are still available

    Right Gear Position Sensor??

I needed a new GPS so ordered in one from Bike Bandit. Just received it today and it isn’t the same as I currently have. The one in my bike currently is a spinny one like in this thread: P0705 - Gear position sensor circuit malfunction The one I got is not spinny, it’s this one New gps by...

lean or rich, maybe something else?

@sleeves Dynojet said, after I sent a video of the trouble, that it is not much to worry about. The PCV uses the CPS to determine engine rpm, in its absence it uses the injector pulses. Since I don’t experience any strange rom behavior in the Power Commander software it isn’t a real problem...

    Backpacks

I bought a trailer to put all my wife and I's kit in for road trips - they were usually to camp outs - so we wouldn't look like gypsies with gear tied to every available spot on the bike. Best investment EVER!

I guess I should throw in too that the stalling trouble has been corrected. That seemed to go away when I cleaned the GPS.

lean or rich, maybe something else?

So dynojet says the 2303 error is the crank sensor. I dug into that and found that one of the connectors had developed some corrosion on one of the connector blades. Contact cleaner and sandpaper and a file to clean things up. A bit of dielectric grease that I forgot to use during install...

lean or rich, maybe something else?

I do have the current firmware in the pcv. Powercommander got back to me and said the vr2303 is a code indicating loss of the crank sensor signal. I haven’t had a chance to look at things the last few days as, well, life happens. Bike bandit hasn’t been able to indicate a shipped or...

lean or rich, maybe something else?

I have the triple k&n airfilters and tors fitted. In the ECU is the power Tripp map, and I transferred the air fuel targets to the pcv+at. The powercommander seems to be in and out of error quite often - two to three times a minute I would guess. I have emailed them regarding this. I did...

lean or rich, maybe something else?

It started doing it again. Not as bad but still there. Possibly the vr2303 error in my PCV-AT. Email to powercommander has been sent

lean or rich, maybe something else?

I got this sorted finally! I found I had targets in the zero column of the PCV, so it was running stupid rich at idle. I changed that column and the 500rpm column to zeros as another map I had was. That didn’t actually completely cure the problem though. I cleaned the crank position...
